Here it is! It’s the most awaited event of the year! It’s the Penshoppe Fashion Show! I am so looking forward to this because Penshoppe is the brand of my style (and that’s a fact,really,no kidding haha). 

Truth is, chances of watching the show was minimal because we’re still not sure if we will get passes but the Bible says that God really does provide! :D So, I wanna raise my glass to Sir Alex Mendoza, Brand Director of Penshoppe for giving us passes to the show! woohoo! Well, he gave it to my friend actually :D So thank you to my awesome-est friend, Matt Angeles ofhttp://kristovblue.tumblr.com/ for sharing his blessing with me and my friends :) It’s so great to watch the show with many friends! Some of them I was with were:

One of the bestest brother in the whole wide world,Matt Angeles! (No,we’re not really brothers ” brothers” HAHA) One of the reasons why we had the chance to watch the show :) Thanks Matt!

The ever fierce and ravishing, Christina Advincula of http://tinthescribbler.tumblr.com. We go to the same church but I just knew her that day and wow! it seems like we’re already friends for centuries! hahaha :D didn’t have hard time to get comfortable with her :bd

Super fashion-forward and food blogger, Jillian Bantang of the http://thefoodscout.net. What a coincidence that she’s planning to watch the Slims Show (i guess?) and that we still have extra passes so we gave her one and asked to join us watch the Penshoppe show :D (and oh, we’re churchmates too! :bd)

We also saw our great friend, Rachel Felicia of http://lifestylebyfeliz.com where she works there as an Intern for Engagement and Fashion stylist. Raise my glass to her for giving us extra good seats :bd

My new friend,Lydie Valerio! :) I took a picture of her because she looks like my friend(which happens to be a guy HAHA). And oh, if she looks familiar to you, that is because she is one of the 10 lucky fans who had the chance to have a picture with Mario Maurer. Don’t get mad at her, it’s not her fault HAHAHA :)

While waiting for us to get in, we did some group shots and yes! i’m the one holding the camera! Taking a picture including myself like a boss! :bd (Forgive the metering though haha i’m blurred but it’s alright :D)

So after waiting for quite a long time, we got in! and got good seats! once again,thanks to Rachel! :D

I must say, Penshoppe never failed my expectations. I would love to wear each and every piece from them (well of course, clothes for guys HAHA). One thing I like about Penshoppe is they never change their style, they revolutionize it :) I like how vibrant and pleasing to the eyes their collection was. By just looking at them, you can already feel and sense the holiday vibes and even the hot summer! I’m surely getting one of those soon! Penshoppe will be always and forever close to my heart :>

Like a Boss Event

January 7, 2012 @ SM Megamall, Liquid Pool Lounge Hotel H20 and Il Mercati, Metrowalk Ortigas

It’s my first time to get invited as a blogger in an event! (Well,Matt referred me HAHA) but still thank you Samantha Beltran for being so nice to invite us at your event. So “Like a Boss” is the poster I posted on my previous post (wow. count how many “post” are there haha K). I felt so excited until the day finally came and because I’m going with my 2 awesome churchmates and blogger friends Matt (http://kristovblue.tumblr.com/) and Tin (http://tinthescribbler.tumblr.com/) :D

I was supposed to meet up with Matt at around 1pm but as always, i’m late again and arrived super late at around 4pm HAHA (Sorry Matt will try to be super early next time :D) And because of that, I decided to treat him to show my apology :> We went to Bubble Tea and ordered some milk tea :) I was dying to drink milk tea after a long time!

I ordered Royal Milk Tea because of it’s name HAHA It’s good! No regrets :bd

Matt ordered Almond Milk Tea for himself :)

So after that, Tin texted us that she will pick us up by taxi and we’ll go straight to the venue. when we got in the taxi,we talked like there’s no tomorrow! haha because of endless laughing and talking, we didn’t realize that we are at our destination already :)

And here is where the VIP people seated. They look like colorful poops! HAHA (What’s up with my imagination? :D) and because we were invited as bloggers, we were seated there! woohoo! :)

After chilling for few minutes, Samantha introduced us with 2 other bloggers! It was awesome meeting Joana and Jenine but I was kinda sad because they are blogspot bloggers :( HAHAHA kidding!

Part of being one of the VIPs is a complementary drink of our choice and becauswe’re not really drinkers, we chose to have a cocktail drink :)

So after waiting for quite some time, the program started by an intro and warm welcome from the host

The first part of the program was the fashion show. As what I have mentioned in my previous post, Like a Boss was a one-of-a-kind event because it’s a night party plus a fashion show too! Clothes from Ropa Atletica, Asian Vogue Shop, The Traveling Closet and Vittoria Clothing were flashed on the runway!

I enjoyed taking photos of the clothes and the models! But I would have loved it more if the lighting is good and if there’s a spotlight whenever a model walks hihi sorry for being demanding :) but i bet it would be awesome-er! :D

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHOT! I like models like her who stops for a moment and pose. In that way, photographers can take shot of that model :bd

Tin didn’t care if cameras were all over her as long as she filled her hungry stomach right away when the food came HAHAHA

Then the host announced “THE BAR IS NOW OPEN!”. We decided to get some drinks and promised to control and we did it! :) Not even one of us got tipsy and stuff :D

Just a normal cassette… OH NO WAIT! 

I was with my mom at Landmark, Trinoma last sunday when I saw this awesome thingy. It caught my attention because of it’s small cute design. I checked it out for a few minutes and decided to buy it right away! HAHA What is it?

It’s «REW! It’s a thingamajig to keep your long earphone cords in place and shorter than it’s original length. This will really help me cause I’m always having a hard time in keeping my earphone wires free from tangles plus it can add style on whatever i’m wearing :) (Thumbs up for the denim background in the packaging!)

The back of the packaging says a brief description about «REW. I remember that “Walkman era” and yeah one of the coolest stuff during that time is a cassette which was used to record songs. It contains film-like strips and it rotates in two circles. When the music stops, you have to rewind so you can play the song from the start again :) It’s funny because you have to use your finger and rotate the circle to rewind it HAHA So this vintage and antique thing can be a great accessory in this modern world :)

 I had a hard time figuring out how to use it before i read the instruction so good thing there was one! But honestly when i read it, i also had a hard time getting it HAHAHA :D So now i’m willing to share to you how to use it that is if you’re planning to buy one :D

First thing you need to do is to open the cassette (it’s rubber don’t worry) then place your wire in what length you desire. I placed mine under the black thing where the wire separates into two so that it will look like a cassette music player :)

Next is roll the wires inside and stop when you think the length is enough already

Voila! Your earphone wires are officially free from tangles and you also have a new stylish accessory! :)

So for all the music lover, those who enjoy traveling everyday with music or those who want to escape from the noisy world, you have to buy one! Get it for only 50 pesos at Landmark, Trinoma near the Make-up section and VCDs and DVDs section :bd Buy now and REWIND those wires! :D

Top 12 Clicks of 2011

Okay, I agree on what Adams said. Selecting 12 best photos is not that easy but it’s really a great idea because those photos will serve as your personal history and your own story on what happened on that certain year. My camera “Diego” had a lot of captured shots since the day he came to me and so as I reviewed all my photos, I realized that God is really amazing for He let me experienced awesome things with awesome people at awesome places and happenings. And so, here are my Top 12 Clicks :)

PS: If you’re wondering why I named my camera “Diego”, that is because I have a high school best friend who named his camera “Dora” because his camera loves to travel (that’s what he said HAHA). And so because we’re best friends, I named my camera Diego who happens to be Dora’s best bud :D

(These are not in particular order. and oh btw, sorry for the inconsistent watermarks :) i’m still under the stage of experimenting in which watermark will fit me the best)

(1) DIVA ALBUM COVER

- Okay, for me it really looks like an album cover. This is my awesome friend from church, Louise Gonzalez. “Diva” is really a perfect word for her because she’s really a “good” singer (Emphasis on the “GOOD”) :D This photo was taken during one of the days of promoting for a college retreat.

(2) CHOCOLATE

-That’s it. That’s her name HAHA I can’t think of a name for this picture so I named it after her name (Count all the “name” in the sentence HAHA.K.). I love taking pictures of animals specially if they’re dogs and specially if they’re photogenic :D

(3) LORD, I GIVE YOU MY HEART <3

-This sand-heart concept is from my niece. It was really a nice concept and after taking a lot of shots, I came up with this. The sands are my desires, dreams, hopes and plans but I willingly lifted up all in God’s hand because He knows what’s best for me :)

(4) STANDOUT

-The red lily will really catch your attention among the rest. well ,that’s my opinion HAHA. This was taken at the hotel where we stayed in Palawan :)

(5) POSTCARD

-I called this photo that name because many people said it looks like a postcard HAHA This was taken during our trip to the Underground River in Palawan :) I highly suggest that you experience a one-of-a-kind experience inside the cave as soon as you can! Support our own! Hooray for Underground River for making it to the new 7 wonders of the world! :D

(6) SPOTLIGHT

-I really like this picture and how the light shines brightly on her face. Notice the people in the background. They are all wearing black and she’s wearing something colorful which made her standout among the crowd :) She’s my churchfriend/fashion week buddy Kara and this was taken during my first time in the Philippine Fashion Week with awesome friends :D

(7) PLEASURE IN CREATIVITY

-Just a dessert from one of my favorite pig-out resto, YakiMix! So the buffet includes a part where you can get as much ice cream as you want and design and flower it with oh-so many add-ons like sprinkles, marshmallows, cereals, kisses and others. 

(8) CANDID-ACY (Gela)

-Okay, so I don’t know what to name stolen shots so tadaa! That’s it HAHA I really love taking candid shots because it really shows who they are really and what do they feel during that time because not all smiles are true. Sometimes people pretend to be happy even though they’re not just for the camera’s sake. :)

(9) SUNSET AT THE BEACH

-I know that title is so common but i want to keep it simple :) I played with the colors and that’s the result :D This was taken from one of the beach in Palawan. We were supposed to swim there but we got disappointed because the beach was not pleasing to our eyes HAHA

(10) SAVED

-This picture shows the word that i will be forever thankful for. Praise God for His love and grace that I am saved :) Praise God for his loving grace :>

(11) BIRD’S HOTEL 

-Yeah, Hotel is not the right word HAHA but I like the term so let me leave it like that :) I love this picture because the bird’s houses are colorful and they look super cute :D i wonder if our houses will be like this HAHA just a round opening for us to see the world :) K, what am I saying HAHAHA

(12) CANDID-ACY (Hazel)

- I just love people who love to laugh all the time :) that’s true happiness right there :D Photos like this makes me smile because it’s already a great achievement for me to capture those priceless moments.

Another not-that-late post

Where can you get fashionable clothes from your favorite fashion bloggers at low low low price? 1 answer:

BLOGGER’S UNITED! Where fashion bloggers join together and sell their own preloved clothes for a cause! And for their 2nd installment, they chose GMA foundation to be the beneficiary (isn’t that heart warming? :>)

I really prepared for this. I didn’t eat a lot at school, didn’t waste too much money from my allowance and even asked my sister to give me my Christmas money in advance! haha. I am only rooting for ONE stall and ONE blogger and that’s David Guison :) So Matt and I got there as early as we could like around 10am (even though gate opens at 11am HAHA). Treston is such a wonderful school! I won’t be lazy going to school if that’s my school HAHA

As soon as we got in, i searched the entire venue and looked for David’s stall but he was nowhere to be found. I started having this emo thought that maybe he backed out last minute. I was so sad and felt my whole world was torn into pieces (WHUUT HAHA)

Around 11:30, our friends Tin an Kevin texted us that they lined up already outside. So we lined up with them (awww :>) and this was the line. It’s pretty long but the registration is fast so we didn’t have a hard time to get in :D

Good thing there were food and drink stalls to keep us alive before or after raiding through pile of clothes.

Almost there!!!

As soon as we got in, there were so many people inside already! We split up and went with our own lives. This is how the venue looked like.

I saw David figuring out how he can place his stuff because there was no space left and a lot of people were crowding and waiting for him. I was so happy that he finally got there! He was just late :) We can’t blame him, he is a very busy person :) So when everything’s ready, i battled with so many people so i can get good stuff from him. That’s me right there! Thanks to Kevin for taking this photo :bd

After purchasing my finds, me and my friends sat on the bleachers and had some rest. And I saw David and Lissa sitting together and decided to take a picture of them. Sorry Dave and Lissa! You guys look cute eh HAHAHA :)

F&H,Jellybean and Wade Limited Edition 2012 Planner

Dec. 22 2011, Thursday

First of all, I wanna say thank you to all my family, relatives, friends and people whom I don’t know who helped me win this planner! I got 199 likes on my entry to F&H’s “Red cover for the selected few” contest.

The mechanics was to answer the question “What excites you about 2012?” and this was my entry:

“I am so hyped up for what God has in store for me on 2012 :) Yeah, He blessed me with so much stuff this 2011 and i can’t wait for His surprises on 2012! I am so excited to have this planner and plan great things ahead! :bd”

And so, God allowed me to win the contest! Woohoo! :D I went to the main office of F&H at Quezon Avenue to pick up the planner and it was the guard who handed it to me. I asked the guard if I can have a picture with him but he insisted because it’s not allowed HAHA i dunno why :)

So right now, I wanna share to you how the planner looks like :)

(oh, this is my first trial of using the Presets in Lightroom HAHA)

The F&H limited edition( i guess? HAHA) paper bag! Instead of wrapping the planner in a package or something, they put it inside a it’s-Christmas-time-vibes paper bag :bd

They also put a greeting card which says “Merry Christmas” awwww :> sorry, but small things like this makes me happy :D

and here it is! The Red Covered limited edition F&H planner! 

I like how the letters are debossed. I am sure that everytime i’m holding the planner I will always slide my finger on it HAHAHA

At the back of the first page there is this 2012 calendar. It’s a big help for me to keep me on track on what day is this date (Oooh! There’s my birthday! February 15 and it will fall on a wednesday!)

A list of many students and working people look forward next year HAHA National Holidays! I like it because it is also included on what day and date it will fall :)

Oxygen Show, PFW Spring/Summer 2012

And another ultra mega late post :\

November 28, 2011 Friday @SMX Mall of Asia

It’s the ever awaited Oxygen Show! Okay, honestly, I lost my appetite for Oxygen clothing before because the evolution of their designs was not my style anymore. But still, I wanted to watch their show and did expect a different collection this season. I got my invite through posting the promo video of Oxygen in Facebook and by submitting my name to them plus a +1 (a friend whom you want to go with you) and thank God me and my friends got in! :) So here’s what happened.

I made it to SMX but I was a bit late because I waited for a friend/classmate in EDSA. When I got there, there’s a line already and we hurriedly went to the last bead of the line. While waiting for us to get in, a girl holding an SLR approached me and she said that she’s a photographer from STATUS Magazine and she’s asking if she can take a photo of me. I turned red all of a sudden and uttered a big word YES! I felt very presentable and flattered with what happened HAHAHA Such a feeler me :)

So we got in and was thankful to have good seats and enough view for me to take pictures. All I did during the whole show was to take pictures HAHA so here’s what I got during that night (forgive my sidecomments, i am not really that knowledgeable on fashion terms HAHA):

I just personally love this photo. The way the model did her thing and i’m glad i was able to capture it! \m/

Look! It’s the brand new logo of Oxygen! It looks simple but it really defines their name :bd

I just love pull-overs and layered tops. sad part is, it looks way better for toned-body guys HAHA (wait for the day that i will get fat!)

Fedoras! I am a big fan of fedora hats. saves you from a bad hair day (which always happen to me) and Oxygen did a good job on their fedora hat! i hope they will come up with many more designs 

Hype on the outfit! It looks very casual and comfortable :bd

I have so many stripes top but I want more! so I think i’m getting one of that (is that a tank top or a shirt?) when i already have the money :bd cause i believe stripes will make me look fat. Booyah! 

Cardigans + V-neck shirts = Versatility. What I mean is you can wear it during day outs (if you can stand the heat and you’re not perspiring too much) or you can wear it during night outs (perfect to armor you from the night breeze) 

I am so loving that bottom. If you’re the one wearing it, it seems like you peed black liquid with your pants on HAHA wear it like a boss! :bd

So one of the biggest surprise of Oxygen during their latest collection is their collaboration with Marcela Gutierrez. Kudos for her designs that made the clothes more lively and very stylish! Here are some of the photos (forgive me if it’s not clear. I don’t have good lens kit HAHA):

Design Fusion and Vision&Trends, PFW Spring/Summer 2012

Anyway, it’s Philippine Fashion Week again! I really waited for this because I really enjoyed what I have experienced during the Penshoppe fashion show last time. This season, it’s waaaaay easier to get tickets! (well,not that easy really) All you have to do is email the designer your personal info and tadaa! invite sent and ready for printing! Thanks to Matt Angeles a.k.a. KristovBlue for telling me this :) 

So we got an invite from Dax Bayani, one of the designers for this season, for the Design Fusion and Vision&Trends show! It’s my first time to attend a fashion show featuring couture creations from independent designers! 

The plan was to meet up with my friends Matt and Karen but I got there late so I was seated a little far from them but i still thank God for it was still a good view :D so here are the photos I took during the show:

Oh P.S. for the photos, forgive me if it’s blurred or overexposed, it’s my first time to do runway photography so i guess i had a hard time taking good photos  :) and also, i am not really a fashion guru so the comments on the designs I gave were just plain opinions/observations by a normal person like me :D

I like the string-like design of his creation. It looks so good on the runway when the models walk and the strings start to sway in their way :bd

I like the simplicity of his works. It looks simple yet flashy together with the headdress which made the models look like living lamps on the runway :D

What I like about her designs is the way she used the strings. It looks so simple but the strings add flavor making it more detailed and elegant :)

Combination of grey and black is very classy. i’m not sure if the materials/fabrics used in her designs were made from indigenous materials but if so, then it’s awesome!

It looks like they’re princesses from a Chinese Imperial family HAHA i like every piece of her design cause it allows the models to reveal their sexy curves :)

What I first noticed was the skeletal-fan or “abanico” on the head of the models. It’s so creative! they looked like modern geishas :D I love the combination of white and violet. It looks so neat and classy!

I have always been a fan of layered-ruffles so i like the way he did it on his creations :) i can feel the Phantom of the Opera vibes with their masks :D

Everytime i see the heels-in-front shoes (forgive me,i don’t know what it is haha), i get really scared for the person who wears it. i wonder how they managed to walk and put their weight on those kind of shoes HAHA still, they look very amazing and it serves as a fact that fashion is very versatile and changes each and every second :)

His works look like treasures! It looks like the models are castaways in an abandoned island and their dress were torn and they found hidden treasures and tailored it to their dress HAHA but technically, putting a twist for the bottom part looks so amazing. whenever the models walk, the dress sways with them too.

Okay,we can’t deny the fact that we have our own favorites and obviously, his designs are my favorites! HAHA (Bias alert here). anyway, i love his designs! it’s very vibrant and very appealing to my eyes. Hype on the long dress that gives emphasis on the models’ tall frames. The long gowns are just so exceptional! As the model walk the runway, the gowns move in a gentle manner like they are being blown by air. I just can’t put into words how am I so amazed with his creations :D

Then they all came out.The designers and the models walked the runway signifying a very successful show and everyone in the crowd applauded :bd

I really enjoyed the rest of the show!(Because when I was a kid, i used to design clothes too!). I am amazed on how those sketches from drafts or papers came alive on the runway. Everything was colorful and full of life. 

I salute all the designers for their creativity and hardwork and for making this event a huge success! :bd

Karen saw her model friends Irish Ong and Aya Abesamis from Runway Productions. They are so tall and beautiful! :)

After few shots, we went to Mall of Asia to find something to fill our hungry stomach and we ended up in Kenny Rogers! :)

I forgot to shave :\ HAHA forgive my somewhat-hairy face :)

The very fierce and head turner Karen Ibasco :) She’s just so amazing! A very beautiful model and at the same time, she was the Cum Laude on her Applied Physics undergraduate course and she is currently taking up her masteral in Medical Physics :D Beauty and Brains I must say :bd All by God’s grace :)

One of my bestest brother in the whole world! Matt Angeles a.k.a. the very awesome KristovBlue! He’s a great blogger and he is one of my mentors and inspiration in starting my own blog :D
